The training is aimed at everyone who has to give a presentation in English. Business as well as technical and commercial presentations are dealt with. SPEAKING BEFORE AN AUDIENCE Coworkers and managers are expected to be able to fluently present their ideas in another language. Not only the ideas themselves are important, the way the speaker communicates with his audience is even more important. TRAINED SKILLS At the end of the training you have an understanding of:   - the precise functioning of the communication process - the importance of body language - the importance of the sequence in which you introduce ideas - the importance of the right formulation in English. You are able to:   - give a fluent and efficient presentation in English - functionally use visual aids - reply (appropriately) to additional questions. HOW DO WE WORK? Before the start of the training, the participant completes a self-evaluation document based on the European Union’s Language Portfolio for Adults. With the help of this document we determine the participant’s starting level. If possible the teacher starts working from participants’ existing presentations. These are discussed individually. After the training the participants have an understanding of the various aspects of presenting. The participants prepare a presentation (which can possibly be used in the company). They present the details during one of the classes. If requested by the participant, we record the presentation on video. We evaluate its structure, use of visual aids, body language, ... During the next class(es) the participants again give a presentation taking into account the feedback they were given previously. This way quality improvement is gradually worked on.
